Beijing 2008 Olympics    RS:X

In November 2004, the Neil Pryde RS:X board was chosen for use at the 2008 Olympics.

In 2007, the Australian RS:X Class Association was formed. Nationally, the Australian Windsurfing Assoc., will foster RS:X racing along side Formula Windsurfing.

Cost is approx. 3500 euros for the complete kit.

The feeder class to RS:X at Olympic and Youth level is the Bic Techno 293 One Design.

RS:X Sail Numbers in Australia

The Australian Windsurfing Assoc. is recognised by the IWA and Yachting Australia as the National Authority for issuing sail numbers for Australian Windsurfing classes/etc.

Sailors will need to be a member of their state windsurfing association. The “Sail Number Registration Policy” is available here...
