Introducing Windsurfing SA
Windsurfing SA is the coordinating body for Windsurfing
in South Australia. The committee consists of representatives from the
Windsurfing Clubs and Associations from around the State, plus three
elected officers.
The main objects and purposes of the Association are:-
• To promote all the competitive disciplines in the sport of windsurfing
through the co-operation of windsurfing clubs
and associations
• To standardise rules of competition in all disciplines.
• To represent where required the interests of the sport to Government
and Statutory bodies.
• To co-ordinate the major windsurfing events in South Australia and
with interstate circuits and bodies.
Third Party Liability Insurance Scheme:
All members of affiliated Clubs and Associations are covered while taking
part in most windsurfing activities.
Australian Windsurfing Association
A member of the Windsurfing SA committee also represents the AWA which
co-ordinates the national calendar and
national sail number register. Sail
numbers are essential when competing, so we control the issuing of sail
numbers for this State.
